🎓 YEAR 12 GRADUATION DAY | CLASS OF 2026 💙🩷 This week, we celebrated a very special milestone as our Year 12 students came together for their Graduation Day. The day began with their final whole school assembly, followed by a beautiful Graduation Liturgy and Graduation Award Ceremony. It was a wonderful opportunity to pause, reflect and celebrate the journey of the Class of 2026, and all they have achieved throughout their years at Penola. To the entire Class of 2026, congratulations. Your time at Penola has been about so much more than the classroom. You have grown in knowledge, confidence and character, and shown what it means to live with courage, compassion, integrity and hope. As you prepare for your HSC examinations next term, we wish you every success. Trust in the preparation you have put in, stay focused and continue to give your best. We will be cheering you on and keeping you in our prayers. As you step into the next chapter, we hope you carry with you the words that have been part of your Penola journey: Grace to you and peace. May you continue to recognise where goodness is needed, have the courage to act, and make a difference wherever life takes you. To our families and teachers, thank you for the love, encouragement and support you have given our students along the way. Congratulations, Year 12. We are incredibly proud of you. ✨ PENOLA SHOWCASE ✨ Recently, our College community came together for the Penola Showcase, celebrating the creativity, talent and achievements of our students. The evening featured an impressive display of student artworks, alongside wonderful musical performances from our talented students. 🎨🎶 It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the many gifts and talents of our young people and recognise the dedication and creativity behind their work. A special thank you to Mrs Burke, our CAPA team, VET Hospitality, and all the staff and students who helped bring the Showcase together. We also thank everyone who came along to support and celebrate our students. Your encouragement helps our young people share their gifts with confidence.

⭐ YEAR 12 DRESS LIKE A TEACHER DAY ⭐ Our Year 12s are making the most of their final week at Penola, with Dress Like a Teacher Day bringing plenty of laughs and some very convincing teacher-inspired outfits! With graduation happening today, these final days have been filled with the little moments that have made their time at Penola so memorable. It has been wonderful to see our Year 12 students enjoying this special time together, celebrating their friendships and reflecting on the journey they have shared. As they celebrate this special milestone today, we hope our Year 12 students take a moment to reflect on how far they have come, celebrate the friendships they have made and cherish these final moments together.

🏀 PDSSSC BASKETBALL GALA DAY 🏀 Last week, our Girls Basketball teams attended their PDSSSC Gala Day. Our Junior team finished 3rd in their pool, while our Intermediate team made it through to the semi-finals, finishing 4th overall. This is a fantastic achievement for both teams, and we are incredibly proud of all our girls for their effort, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the day. A huge thank you to our super coaches, Mr Bryant and Ms Seaman, for supporting and encouraging our students on the day.

🩰YEAR 7 DANCE EXCURSION ✨ Our Year 7 Dance students recently visited the Sydney Dance Company to experience a live professional dance performance. Selected based on their demonstrated interest in Dance at Penola, students had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of performance, composition and the appreciation of dance as an academic subject. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to see professional dancers in action and be inspired as they continue to develop their own skills and passion for Dance

🏆 CELEBRATING ACHIEVEMENT AT ASSEMBLY 🏆 Our whole school assembly was a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community and celebrate the many achievements and contributions of our students. We proudly recognised our Legacy Badge Day student volunteers, who demonstrated the Penola values of compassion, courage, integrity and hope by supporting Penrith Legacy and the families of returned service men and women. Their willingness to step forward and serve others is a wonderful example of putting our values into action. We also celebrated the creativity of our students through the Penola Showcase People’s Choice Awards, recognising a winner from each grade along with highly commended artworks chosen by those who attended the Showcase. 🎨 Our sporting achievements were also celebrated, with Penola Age Champions, Swimming Carnival and Cross Country champions, as well as students who placed in the top three at our Swimming and Cross Country Carnivals, receiving recognition for their efforts. 🏊♀️🏃♂️ Congratulations to all our students who were recognised. These achievements reflect not only talent, but the dedication, courage and commitment to giving their best that we value at Penola.

✨ EXPLORING VOCATION AND HOLINESS ✝️ Our Year 10 students recently had the opportunity to hear from people living out different vocations within the Catholic Church, supporting their Religion learning this term on How can I be Holy? Students explored what the Church means by holiness and vocation, and what this can look like through religious life and other pathways. They also had the opportunity to take part in a Q&A, asking questions and hearing personal stories of faith and vocation. A special thank you to the Religious Sisters of Mercy of Alma, who sent Sisters Maria Neri and Maliya, and to Seminarian Deacon Luke for sharing their experiences and insights with our students.
